All about the retro sportswear

Posted by Emma Shepherd on

With a constant drip of new fashions coming through it can be difficult to keep up. For all you brand snobs and designer nuts out there, it can be hard on both your bank account and your wardrobe space!

Thankfully, this season sees some of 2016’s biggest trends spill over into 2017, so the collections blend together! Be as smart as you can when purchasing your latest brands such as Hugo Boss, Paul Smith and Stone Island, mix them up with the latest collections and the classics to create the perfect wardrobe. That’s where Discountbrandsuk can help you out

One of the biggest increases in menswear this year has been the retro sportswear. For 2016 the take on athleisure was all about a hark back to the 1980’s but for 2017 we are seeing brands go all the way back to the 1970’s.

How on earth do I wear it without looking like something from the 118118 adverts? (I hear you say)

“Key pieces include matching two-piece tracksuits, zip-up nylon jumpers and drawstring trousers, as well as burnt orange or tobacco brown chevron prints, in luxury fabrics with careful attention to detail. Top this look off with a vintage leather bomber for the ultimate 1970s sartorial statement.”
Olie Arnold, Mr Porter style director.
